Tony’s passion for the construction industry was triggered by drafting classes at Vero Beach High School through earning his degree from the University of Florida M.E. Rinker School of Building Construction. Following graduation, he worked as a Project Engineer with one of the nation’s largest construction companies on several Walt Disney resorts and government projects. Upon returning to his hometown of Vero Beach, he was employed by a large local general contractor and oversaw many notable projects, including the expansion of Bent Pine Golf Club and Peace River Trading Company Corporate Headquarters construction. More recently, Della Porta Construction has completed multiple exciting projects such as Barrier Island custom residencies, New Vision’s Medical Office, Ryder’s Gourmet Market, and Citrus Grill. Della Porta Construction’s history of exceptional work is a result of its team member’s dedication to quality and safety.

As a second-generation General Contractor, Mike Bertrand’s passion for construction began at a young age as he spent time working on large world-class commercial construction projects with his father, who specialized in ground up high-rise construction. After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Conservation and Civil Engineering at the University of New Hampshire, Michael went to work for one of the largest Brownfield Redevelopment Private Equity Funds in the country. He later obtained his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Colorado. Upon graduation, he began work as a director of construction and development for the largest apartment REIT in the world and was quickly promoted to Senior Director in their Denver Headquarters. At this time he was introduced to Florida where he finalized the completion and the closeout of the 30-story luxury Grand Flamingo residential complex in Miami’s South Beach community. He later moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming to oversee the development, construction and facilities responsibilities for the Grand Targhee Ski and Summer Resort. Mike moved to Vero Beach with his family in 2010 and has focused on custom residential construction projects with Della Porta Construction.
